In the unfortunate absence of the Programme Secretariat and delegates from the other eligible regions due to the recent flight restrictions, the Department of Finance and Personnel Northern Ireland was pleased to host a revised Partenariat for 24 representatives from a range of organisations from Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Presentations addressing approaches and strategies taken towards the creative industries in Ireland and Northern Ireland by Ian Brannigan of the Western Development Commission, Ireland and Stephen McGowan of the Department of Culture Arts and Leisure, Northern Ireland.
Background on the Northern Periphery Programme by Teresa Lennon, Regional Contact Point for Northern Ireland and Michael O’Brien, Regional Contact Point for Ireland.
A summary of the preparatory projects CINERGY and PEMP by the Regional Contact Points.
Outcomes Five potential project ideas were identified, which you read about in the Phoenix 2010 event report. In addition, interest was expressed in the two running preparatory projects CINERGY and PEMP by Irish and Northern Irish partners.
Follow up Event - project development clinic The Programme Secretariat will be hosting a follow up event on 16-17 June in Copenhagen. This will be a project development clinic to further develop the project ideas identified at Phoenix 2010. Futher details will follow. Please keep an eye on this website.

For those participants that wish travel on a coach from Belfast to Portrush on 20th April, the coach leaves at 8.00 pm from The Jury’s Hotel on Great Victoria Street, Belfast (see map in the travel guidance).
