Clim-ATIC invites you to its international project conference in Florø, Norway, on 26-28 October 2010.
"mainstreaming climate change adaptation for rural peripheral communities"
Aims:
- Show how climate change adaptation can be mainstreamed at the community level, and what is the role of local government in this emerging area
- Bring together and present Clim-ATIC lessons – challenges and opportunities
- Promote the outcome of Clim-ATIC – training course in climate change adaptation
- Explore future opportunities in the Northern Periphery
Activities:
- 2 day seminar and round-table debates
- Poster exhibition at conference venue
- Local excursions
- Conference dinner with cultural activities
- 1 day adaptation excursion (post-conference)

- Local and regional politicians, EU/Nordic level policymakers, National Climate Change organisations
- Community stakeholders, teachers
- Organisers of other existing or future EU adaptation projects
- Northern Periphery Programme (NPP) representatives
