The Sixth Call for Applications will run from the 3rd of September to the 14th of October 2010. The call is open to applicants from across the programme area and to projects addressing both priorities.

From the 1st of September, a special preparatory project call for urban-rural partnerships for new service solutions is open.

The Finnish Ministry of Employment and the Economy has provided an updated First Level Control guidance and application form for Finnish partners and Lead Partners.

The text of the pre-announcement for the Sixth Call has been updated with some extra clarifications. 

The Programme Secretariat is organising the next Annual Conference in connection to the Lead Partner Seminar. The Lead Partner Seminar will be held on 8th of September and the Annual Conference on 9th of September in Bunratty, County Clare, Ireland. 

The Sixth Call for Applications will run from the 3rd of September to the 14th of October 2010. The official announcement will follow on 3rd of September 2010 together with the application package. 

During the summer holiday season, the Programme Secretariat will not be fully staffed.

It is now possible to register online for the First Level Control Event, which will be held on 25th-26th of August in Copenhagen. 

The presentations are now online for the Phoenix 2010 follow-up Project Developement Clinic held on 16th-17th June.

At its most recent meeting the PMC decided to continue a call for preparatory projects from 10th of June 2010. The call includes a wider definition of products and services and a more elaborate description of a number of themes.

The Programme Monitoring Committee (PMC) met on 9th-10th June 2010 in Enniskillen, Northern Ireland, to decide on the project applications submitted for the Fifth Call.

On the 5th of May, a proposal was accepted by the European Parliament to reduce the spending targets for programme budgets. As a consequence, the NPP 2007-2013 no longer faces the risk of being automatically decommitted during 2010. 

The Phoenix 2010 Partenariat took place on 21-22 April in Portrush, Northern Ireland. The report and presentations are now online. 

The NPP 2007-2013 is organising a special event on First Level Control in cooperation with INTERACT on 25th-26th August at the Programme Secretariat's offices in Copenhagen. 

Due to the flight disruptions in Northern Europe, the setup of Phoenix 2010 has been changed. Unfortunately, many people including the Programme Secretariat will not be able to attend. 

The event is still taking place with a revised programme. 

The newest version of the Programme Manual has undergone some updates.

The reporting period 1st October 2009 to 31st March 2010 has recently finished. All approved main projects are expected to submit a Progress Report for this period.

The Fifth Call for Applications for main projects closed on 24th of March 2010. The Programme Secretariat received a total of 6 applications by the deadline.

Statistics from the digital publishing tool Issuu show that the LAVA09 conference report has now been read more than 25 000 times by more than 7700 unique visitors. This shows that social media are very useful for sharing information widely.
