Managing Authority Letter to National Control Bodies
[16/02/2010]

The Managing Authority has informed all national control bodies about the importance of meeting the N+2 spending targets and reporting deadlines for the reporting period up to the 31st of March 2010.

The letter to national control bodies outlines the importance of meeting the spending targets for the European Commission's N+2 Rule. If spending targets are not met by the projects, this could result in a loss of funding for the programme and potentially NPP projects.

In addition, the MA explains the importance of first level controllers keeping to the reporting deadlines. First level controllers are asked to inform the Managing Authority in case of problems meeting the reporting deadlines or if they meet any systemic errors.

This letter follows after a letter to all Lead Partners last week, in which the Programme Secretariat highlights the importance of projects meeting their spending targets.
