The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sweden has decided to second to the International Barents Secretariat in Kirkenes, Norway, an adviser for project funding for the multilateral cooperation in the Barents Region, and for maintaining the database on environmental “hot spots”.
The position is financed by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Sweden for a trial period of one year (prolongation possible providing funding allocated).
Among the adviser’s tasks will be to promote relations between the BEAC, BRC, experts and working groups, the EU institutions and other international financial institutions and to this end to initiate and coordinate project applications to the EU funding programmes.
The deadline for applications is 15th of March 2010.
