Phoenix 2010 Partenariat

On 21-22 April, the NPP is organising the Phoenix 2010 Partenariat in Portrush, Northern Ireland. 

This Partenariat is a follow up on the LAVA09 Annual Conference in November 2009 in Reykjavik. The Partenariat aims to identify project ideas and discuss the necessary changes and next steps to make the collaboration between traditional and creative sectors possible, thus stimulating innovation and bringing economic growth to the Northern Periphery area.  

What can you expect at Phoenix 2010?

  • Facilitated discussions concerning the necessary changes needed to make a new type of industry development possible based on a collaboration between traditional and creative industries
  • Facilitated discussions with identified and invited key actors from different regions and with project idea holders. 
  • Presentations from experts
  • Programme information regarding funding opportunities and project preparation
  • Ideally, successful preparatory projects will lead to main project application proposals in the 6th application call in 2011.

Who is the Partenariat for?

As an ideal participant you will be a:

  • Representative of a traditional industry such as an industrial or sectoral association. 
  • Representative of a local or regional development agencies 
  • Representative from a public sector organisation facilitating creative entrepreneurship and culture as an integrated part of regional development.
  • Representative from any other intermediary body connecting the creative and traditional industries 
  • Representative of creative industries
  • Project idea holder

What do we expect from participants?

  • Being able to describe current initiatives in different nations and regions within the field of creative industries and the linkages between creative industries and traditional industries to generate innovation and economic growth for society.
  • Participation in discussions about the necessary changes and next steps to make a future collaboration between traditional and creative industries possible
  • Project ideas for future project cooperation, in the themes of creative industries and potentially in collaboration with traditional industries.
  • Openness to participation in future project(s) cooperation
