The overall aim of the main project, is to develop and pilot a new transnational ’best practice’ employability initiative for 16-25 year olds to help tackle the rising levels of youth unemployment across the NPP partner regions. The project will be a results focused and outcomes focused employability initiative with specific targets for young people to get into employment, self employment or training. The project fits closely with one of the main aims of the Northern Periphery Programme which is to develop the economic potential in peripheral and remote areas. It specifically addresses piority one -transnational cooperation – promoting innovation and competitiveness in remote and peripheral areas.
