The product created by the main project will be a Super Northern Marathons Series (name to be decided) based in Northern Europe, which will have a transnational nature and will exploit the diversified characteristics of the Northern Periphery Region to create a unique selling point. Its component parts will be the already existing mass participation running and skiing event products.

It will combine the expertise of its component parts to create a single Super Series that will be far greater than the sum of its parts. The Super Northern Marathons Series will have the pulling power and saleability to be competitive on a world scale with all the major marathon products, like The London Marathon for running and The Vasaloppet for skiing. By developing the Super Series product the quality, and hence com-petitiveness, of the 8 individual existing events (products) will be enhanced.
