PMC Decisions on 9th Call and Strategic Call Applications

The Programme Monitoring Committee (PMC) met on 4th-5th September in Uummannaq, Greenland, to decide on the applications submitted for the Strategic Project Call and the Ninth Call for Main Projects.

Out of 3 strategic project applications presented to the PMC, the following project was approved with conditions:

  • Water Asset Renewable Energy Solutions - WARES

The following project was rejected as a strategic project but invited to resubmit as a main project proposal:

  • Renewable Energy Training and Demonstration Network for Remote Communities in the NPP Area - REMOTE

Out of 3 main project applications presented to the PMC, all 3 projects were approved with conditions:

  • Small Craft Emergency Response and Survival Training for Arctic Conditions - SMACS
  • Support of people with dementia in remote areas - RemoDem
  • Bioenergy Proliferation and Deployment - BioPad

This was the last round of main or strategic project decisions for the NPP 2007-2013 since nearly all of the funding has now been allocated.
