Northern Periphery Programme 2007-2013
Outcomes Managing Authority - Programme Secretariat meeting
27th February 2012

On 23rd-24th February, the Managing Authority and the Programme Secretariat met at the offices of the County Administrative Board of Västerbotten in Umeå, Sweden.

The NPP demonstrates excellence in terms of the efficiency that is required to achieve a high quality implementation and visibility with decision makers despite the fact that the NPP is the smallest of the 13 transnational programmes with comparatively few staff resources and the largest cooperation area.

MA-Secretariat meetings are normally held twice a year to coordinate the work between these two programme bodies and agree on procedures. These meetings help to streamline and simplify the work for projects partners and First Level Controllres but also to increase efficiency in programme administration.

Among the topics discussed were the development of the status on project progress reports and final reports, levels of funding commitments and decommitments, the ongoing evaluation exercise, the Annual Report for 2011, upcoming audits by the Audit Authority, upcoming information and communication activities as well as recent and upcoming events and seminars.
