The Second Call for Applications for the NPA 2014-2020 closed on 10th April. By the deadline, the Secretariat received a total of 14 applications. An overview of the applications by Lead Partner country and priority axis can be found below.

The NPA 2014-2020 Monitoring Committee met for the first time on 10th February 2015 in Copenhagen to decide on the applications submitted for the First Call. The Monitoring Committee approved 13 projects out of the 20 applications received.

A new Project Desk Officer has been appointed at the Joint Secretariat for 11 months, Ms. Saija Tikkanen. She will be taking over some tasks in connection with a maternity leave.

The call for NPA 2014-2020 preparatory project applications is now open for all 4 priorities. The call is ongoing, which means that applications can be submitted at any time.

[18/12/2014]

The European Commission has formally approved the Cooperation Programme for the Northern Periphery and Arctic 2014-2020. The programme is among the first batch of transnational programmes to be approved.

The approval concludes a process of programme preparation that has spanned over 2 years. Regional and national stakeholders in all partner countries as well as NPP projects, programme bodies and Ex Ante evaluators have contributed to the development of the new cooperation programme.
