High interest in Preparatory Project Call
[13/04/2013]

The Preparatory Project Call targeting main projects in the 2014-2020 period closed on 12th April 2013. By the deadline, the Programme Secretariat received a total of 43 preparatory project applications. The high number of applications shows that there are still many new ideas for addressing the challenges and opportunities in the NPP area beyond 2013.

After an admissibility check, indicatively by 19th April 2013, the applications will enter the technical assessment procedure involving the Programme Secretariat and Regional Advisory Groups in all 9 programme partner countries.

Eligible project applications will be presented to the Programme Monitoring Committee (PMC) for a decision on 18th June 2013. All approved preparatory projects will be subject to conditions set by the PMC to ensure that all preparatory projects' focuses will have a strong match with EU 2020 priorities and emerging themes for the new programme.

The PMC is looking to fund approximately 10 preparatory projects. It is expected that all remaining funding will be allocated.
