The overall objective of the project is to verify, improve and ensure the quality of food when it gets into the hands of consumers. In order to achieve the objective a new technique for printing electronics will be used to develop new services and printed electronics applications. The printed technology is currently being developed at the PrintLab laboratory at the Oulu University of Applied Sciences (OUAS).
The preparatory project will mobilise a broad and well-balanced partnership, including a strong and active SME/stakeholder participation that will take ownership of the main project proposal. The preparatory project will facilitate the development of joint project plans towards production of a new product and service for the high quality northern food industry and its consumers. The collaboration between the researchers and the industries removes the barriers for testing printed electronics applications and develop them directly towards the industry needs.
