This project aims to draw together the expertise from both commercial companies and research institutes in Norway, Iceland and Russia to rigorously evaluate, develop and optimise welfare and quality protocols for a range of crustacean species that are fished in the Atlantic and northern Arctic region. The project will facilitate the transfer of existing knowledge between all the participating nations, develop a main project to establish live crustacean export from the Atlantic northern Arctic region and establish these products as the premium crustacean seafood products on the world market.
